Founded originally in 1989 as an English-speaking ministry of Emmanuel Church in Philadelphia, Renewal has come a long way these past 20 years, over which time we have seen many lives transformed by Jesus Christ. Started as a small college student ministry, we have grown as a church of students, single adults, married couples, and families with young children from all over the Philadelphia area. In 2004, we sent out a core group of people to birth a daughter church plant, City Line Church.
Our congregation officially became particularized as Renewal Presbyterian Church, now a fully independent church, in the spring of 2006. In early 2009, we acquired our own building in West Philly and moved into our own meeting place.

Coinciding with the establishment of our permanent home in West Philly, God was stirring the elders and pastors at Renewal to begin a new work in the northwest suburbs with our people out there. The church voted in April 2009 to become a multi-site church with a vision to spread the gospel throughout the Philadelphia region through multiple local congregations. The King of Prussia campus was officially launched on March 7, 2010 under the leadership of Pastor Paul and Pastor Dave. And starting on November 14, 2010, the KOP campus will be moving to its new location in Devon, PA.
